Bern-based author Martin Fontanellaz, together with illustrator Anna Horak, won the special “Reading Makes Children Strong ” award at the 2026 German Children’s Book Prize for their book *I See in You What You Don’t See*. This is fantastic , and we extend our warmest congratulations to both of them! The story encourages children to discover their own strengths. We especially like the book because Dani, one of the girls in this cheerful group of children, has to undergo treatment for amblyopia. She wears her glasses and the occlusion patch as a matter of course! We think that’s great and very valuable!
