The specialty of pediatric ophthalmology (pediatric ophthalmology) takes care of all concerns of ophthalmology in children. Eye diseases, strabismus or pediatric neuroophthalmology are part of it. The spectrum of diseases, their symptoms as well as the whole diagnostics and therapy differs from adults.
Our examination techniques also allow meaningful findings in children with developmental delays/disabilities. We emphasize patience and try to empathize with the world and problems of children and their parents. When children require surgical procedures on the eyes in addition to strabismus surgery, we work closely with our surgical colleagues in adult ophthalmology.
